Chelsea Merta is a lifelong public servant and community activist. She previously served as staff attorney for legal aid organization ArchCity Defenders, representing and advocating for homeless, indigent, and underserved women in the St. Louis County Municipal Court system.
She serves on the young professionals boards for the Missouri Botanical Garden and was a founding member of the Young Friends of Brightside St. Louis and the St. Louis chapter of the Red Shoe Society. Chelsea is fluent in Spanish & speaks conversational French.
She also has served as a lawyer & consultant for St. Louis-area legislators and policymakers, assisting with drafting legislation for consumer issues, environmental concerns, civil rights, women's rights, and social justice.
Savannah Downs is our office manager & paralegal. Originally from a small town in Illinois, Savannah
brings experience, compassion, and top-notch client relationship building skills to our firm. Formerly an ArchCity Defender herself, Savannah has both legal aid and Big Law professional backgrounds that assist her in serving as the “gatekeeper” of the firm.
Savannah is active in the social justice community of St. Louis and she enjoys hooping, gardening, and
attending music festivals all across the country. She has given presentations on holistic law to area schools and she often is the first point of contact for our clients.
